How it works
Retavon was built for this from day one. The web app your staff use runs on the same operations the assistants do, so there is nothing an assistant can reach that a person could not, and nothing a person does that an assistant cannot see.
Each person brings their own
A salesperson's assistant acts for the salesperson. A technician's acts for the technician. It holds exactly their permissions, and nobody, person or assistant, can hand out a permission they do not hold themselves. There is no one assistant for the whole business.
No copy and paste
The assistant reads the record in front of it, and the record tells it what can happen next: open the quote with a deposit, book the visit, finish the job. It acts in the system. Nobody carries numbers from a chat window into the software and back.
One system, one bill
People and their assistants share the same live data. There is no second AI product to buy and no data pipeline to build. The AI spend is the assistant each person already pays for.
They choose the assistant
ChatGPT, Claude, or an agent your own developer runs. Same permissions, same audit trail, whichever they bring. A person who uses none of them works the screens as before.
Nothing goes rogue
Money and stock move once: a request that is sent twice is taken once. A refusal says what was wrong and what to do instead. A key that only looks things up can be marked read-only, and every write is refused whatever its permissions.
Everything on the record
Every change an assistant makes is in the audit trail with the key that made it, the person it acts for, the time and what the record was before. Filter it by person or by key.
Plug it in
A person issues a key for their own assistant on the Agent keys screen in Settings. Name it for the assistant and where it works, choose read-only if it should only look things up, set when it expires, and copy the key once. Then give the assistant two things: the address of Retavon's API description and that key.

- Read the API description. Every operation is named for a job at the store and every field is explained.
- Act on what records say can happen next, and on what refusals say to do.
- Watch the event feed for what changes.
What the owner sees
Every assistant has its own named key, issued by the person it works for. Keys expire, can be rotated or revoked at any time, and stop when the person leaves. The audit trail shows the assistant's work beside the person's own, marked as an agent key.

Questions
Do I need to buy AI software?
No. Each person plugs in the ChatGPT or Claude they already use. Retavon is the business software it works in, and the only new bill is Retavon's.
Can my salesperson's assistant discount a spa?
Only if the salesperson could. An assistant holds exactly the permissions of the person it works for, and nobody can grant a permission they do not hold.
What happens when someone leaves?
Their assistant's keys stop with them. A key acts for one person, and when that person's access ends, every key they issued is refused.
How do I see what an assistant did?
The audit trail records every change with the key that made it, the person it acts for, the time, and what the record was before. Filter it by person or by key.
Which assistants work with it?
ChatGPT, Claude, and any agent that can read an OpenAPI document and send an HTTPS request with a bearer key.
Do we have to use AI at all?
No. Everything works on screen without it, and a person who brings no assistant works the same screens as everyone else.
